OK, so the instructions weren't very clear: Do I have to install first fusee.zip and then hekate.zip to make it work with Kosmos v16? I ask this because I tried installing Kosmos, then the patches provided here, but unfortunately it always results in an error message and my SD card being corrupted. Or do I have to just download Kosmos and the patches from sdsetup for now?
Edit: I don't know in which firmware I am currently, but I know that I am not in 10.0.+ firmware.

If you are not in 10+, you can use the "fusée" package.
You can look at the guide I wrote, pinned in the hacking section. it explains the difference from the two available packages.

Well, the plan is to update Kosmos and the patches, and then manually update the firmware, so I have to use first fusee.zip before updating, and then hekate.zip after updating right?

you don't need the old patches if you only want to update the firmware. ChoixNX dont need patches, only installing/playing games.
so, you could put latest kosmos and kosmos patches right away, so it'll work when it reboots.

The latest hekate patches you've posted won't let me access my cfw. Had to use your older version to make everything work, I'm on the latest OFW version & latest atmosphere, if it helps.
you are on AMS, you should be using Fuse Patch, not Hekate patch. unless you are on Komos like myself, using Hekate. that is my experience.
Let me elaborate, I use hekate ctcaer 5.2.0.bin to inject the payload. The boot menu loads, I pick the cfw and I get some error. Won't let me in. However, I used OP's older hekate_ipl.ini & everything worked fine. I am not using Kosmos/fusee primary. I've changed my hekate ctcaer.5.2.0.bin file to reboot_payload.bin, what do you think?

here is my setup, standard KOSMOS 16 straight off github. using Haruko's loaded Hekate Patch. Everything working for me right off the bat. I am on FW 10.0.2
Seems like you trying to launch emuMMC CFW
without setting up an emuMMC. If you don't care about that then launch sysMMC CFW instead

emummcforce does NOT enable emuMMC.
it ensure you don't launch sysMMC by mistake and prevent booting if you didn't setup emuMMC or disabled it.
if you want to boot into emuMMC, you first need to have one (folder or partition).
then, based on your boot method (payload or fss0), there are different things to take in account.
If using fss0 (kosmos method)
it always boot into emuMMC if it exists.
if you want to boot into sysMMC, you need emummc_force_disable=1 in the hekate ipl
if you use payload=fusée-primary boot method (not kosmos default setting)
it uses emummc/emummc.ini file to determine whether you are using emuMMC or sysMMC
you can't choose from hekate !
the emummcforce=1 works on both boot method (payload and fss0) and is only a way to prevent booting sysMMC by mistake if you want, for example, to keep it clean for online.

i just installed those patches (i think some of them i had installed before). Some games work and some games dont... any ideas what i can do. Mario kart doesnt work anymore and i am also not able to install other games via tinfoil or goldleaf (always the same error). I use a rcm loader and boot into hekate and then into atmosphere through the payload menu

My Homebrews crash. I had to reformat my SD card and start again clean. I've done everything correctly, but I can't see a kip folder in atmosphere.
