Cool, thanks I'll try it now
No problem. I did that too when I first started using lakka and it took me a bit to find how to fix it.

Just make sure you select reboot to rcm to exit lakka in the future.

I am trying to follow the guide on the lakka website, it says:

  1. Download the latest stable archive from here (use your brain to grab the latest)
That link is dead, where can i find these files?

i tried 3 different sd card, but everytime i try to boot via rcm mode the screen stays black (it is out of rcm mode though, so it tried to boot for sure).

The cmd program gives a win32 message/error but from what ive read that is nothing i should be worried about.

Any tips for me?

Pro Tip: Keep trying...

If you try to boot, but get a black screen for longer then 15 seconds, hold the power button for about 10 seconds to power down your switch, then re-enter RCM mode and try again.

Literally repeat this process, and eventually it will boot. Sometimes it takes upwards of 20+ attempts.

just wondering....
Are we at full speed with sound for all supported emulators?
Is there sound for all those?
Has the battery issue been solved or does it still need hekate?
Is there still the chance of burning an img?

I know. I was just curious. This has been really great work and is only getting better and better. I’ve been away from this thread for quite some time now. Not really an excuse, but yeah. Just wondering.

Just curious on how well the dsm emulators run? Are they at full speed or they are still missing a proper JIT?

all i know is dolphin isn't full speed yet :( and speaking on that other point,i remember someone berating a new-ish member for asking a noob question saying "dude you've been here since july 4th 2018, you should know everything on gbatemp by now" acting as if he was even here for even a month yet, the elitism needs to die. it's sad and childish. I forgot who it was but some of you may know who it is.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."
