hi,
i tried the patch and it was trimmed to 62.8mb, then i tried playin it and it just came up with either a black screen or a white screen. can you help me?

Yes, it trims the ROM of useless data.

The ROM is trimmed automatically, and it's a part of the patch

So, for the sake of nyman I'll ask:

How do you not trim it? Hmmm?

I'll answer nyman: Your ROM is trimmed automatically. The problem lies either in your ROM, or microSD, or cart.

Use clean ROM, try to backup and format your microSD, and use the latest firmware

Your problem is the same issue that has been adressed with the DSTT. You have to unpack the patched and unpatched rom and replace a folder. For directions check out this thread.

I double checked the game with the latest patch and indeed the side menu choices are still in japanese. I'm 90% positive the next patch would've been pretty much the last one necessary since it was going to address that. I'm still crossing my fingers for it!

We don't really need a menu patch, since you should be able to figure out the menus in a few minutes. Still, it would be nice to get one.

A clean rom is a rom that is freshly acquired. No patching has been done to it, nothing has been done to it. The ONLY thing that can be done to it is renaming the rom name. It's still considered clean if you renamed it but have not done anything else special.

Firstly, check the link on the very very very very first post. Grab the link from there. Go acquire (love that word) a clean JUS rom. You can rename it, but don't do anything else to it. Download the patch and patch up the game. It should be pretty obvious, just take a look at the files. DO NOT TRIM THE ROM AFTER!!!! Load into your chip. ????? Praufeet.
