Not sure anyone thinks Biden's age is beneficial. However, a few things to bear in mind:

One is that the president does not run the government alone and has a huge staff of advisors and others that carry the majority of the workload. Two is that political choices are almost always between the lesser of two (or more) evils, and Trump is obviously even less fit to hold political office, with a slew of criminal charges, zero ethics, a vindictive streak miles-wide, and dubious mental capacity. Many would love the option to vote for a younger Democrat. But the real world doesn't always make such wishes come true....

I am in favor of reasonable age limits. I prefer younger politicians overall, not just for the Presidency. However, age is not the priority in this particular election, not only because both likely options are old but because something more important than age separates them.

One believes in democracy and the other is a twice-impeached, 4-times-indicted wannabe fascist dictator whose only interest in being the president again is abusing the position to avoid prison and to exact revenge on his political opponents.

You make a good point. While I voted for Biden in spite of his age because the alternative of a republican (especially Trump) was so much worse, Bernie's age never occurred to me at all and he was my first choice in the primary. I guess I care about age to an extent, but I put other factors higher on the priority list, with policy position and credibility being the #1 issues for me.

It would almost be like validating the nonsense republicans have been spewing. And obviously there's nobody better on the republican side. Nobody's immune to the randomness of the universe, and any man older than 60 can suddenly drop dead on any given day. A close race is better for ratings, so I can't help but feel that the media is trying to make age a bigger deal than it actually is to offset Trump's many, many weaknesses. As if "old" is the equivalent of "convicted felon/insurrectionist guaranteed to end democracy."

Biden's age isn't concerning. People age differently. Betty White was still sharp at age 99.

What's concerning is how often the old fool falls down, falls up, wanders around stage trying to leave, makes up words out of whole cloth, gives terrorists supporting countries billions of dollars, allows the border to be held wide open so terrorists can just walk on in, supports an authoritarian who cancels elections, makes opposing political parties illegal and infringes on rights of the citizens, and tried everything in his power to get us into World War III with Russia.

Other than all of that and more, we're doing swell. Gotta love the 400+ days of vacation already too.
