Like, for example, transferring inputs in an emulator, for multiplayer, or something like that. Or playing multiplayer games, or transferring files between systems. Is there a reason nothing like this ever happened on the DS? Is it really hard to do? Is it even possible?

There were a few ds games that could connect directly without an access point. I made a version of cquake that allowed connecting directly. I was not able to find testers though - no one was interested. For the ds it was a lot of work. Not sure about the 3ds though.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
