No, Gmail actually prohibits selling their email accounts through third party sources, including ebay. It's illegal.

If you think about it like domain names for websites, there's not much of a problem. Like if Microsoft owned Microsoft.com but didn't own Microsoft.net and some dude bought it, I'm sure it'd sell rather high for the name itself. Big opportunity for advertisement.
