When will Star Citizen come out as a scam?

Recently, Ashes of Creation (a similar game where they promised Kickstarter backers everything and then delivered nothing of that) ceased "development" entirely and exposed itself as a scam.

But Star Citizen is still going strong despite being the exact same thing.

When do you think that CIG will finally stop it and reveal itself as a scam?

When the money stops rolling in and they run out.

Now that I think about it, let's say the game does come out, will it even be playable for someone who isn't a Whale buying better spaceships? Because from what I've heard that is where allot of their money has been coming from over the years.
