Hacking IS there no possible way to revert my firware to 5.x-9.2?

If you're on 9.2, Gateway has a downgrade option. If you're on 9.3 or newer and have a NAND backup, you can probably hardwire your console and reflash your NAND to downgrade. If you don't, and you're on 9.3+, then you're totally SOL.

unless you have a hardmod and a backup of a NAND created on YOUR 3ds while it was on <9.2 than yes it is impossible.
