I'd like very much to use instead the NGC controller rather than the Wiimote (even though it's just for a few short moments).

Is there some kind of hack or something?

The only thing that comes to mind is the Mayflash GameCube Converter but I don't have this for the time being.

From what i remember and found, this was not yet done, but i can be wrong.
Though i did find someone who made a NGC to Wiimote adapter/circuit-board from his wiimote and nunchuk to to try fool his wii into thinking his NGC is a Wii remote

Of course i would not recommend doing this if you do not know how.

There are alternatives for the Wii Menu though, which you can automaticly load through priiloader using forwarders, such as Postloader or Wiiflow.

No there is not but just like what Gemuzuki said you can install priiloader, you hold reset for 3-4 seconds then use the GameCube controller to launch homebrew channel but it won't be as fast as loading a forwarder.
