Hacking Is there a thread talking about FFCCMLaaK hacking?

I may be new and missed all the thrill. But this game is just so hackable (all inside 00000002.app).
Is it the same for every WiiWare games? I dont know the others, because this is the only WiiWare game I have.
If I am late, please direct me to catch the ride again.
So far I have made inf. gil/element/m. sphere/medals, always happy family, running villagers, etc.

I uninstalled it a long time ago, as it got boring quickly. Modifying internals, however, might bring some new life to it...

Yeah, I really wanna know why people haven't tried harder to get the DLC unlocked (properly, not with a load of glitches like last time). The next round of DLC should be coming soon, so hopefully that will help.
Anyway, if you could tell us what this all means, that would be great!

If I remember correctly, this game require extra savefile for DLC stuff. We didn't have it, so the DLC dungeons kept resetting themselves, same goes for extra costumes.

How did you make Infinity gil? I'd love to do that.

No? Really, there's nothing tricky in it. Just unpack the wad and see to it yourself.
Just look inside 00000002.app

I have an exam to do tomorrow so I cant reply soon enough.
Hopefully you guys have already got your hands dirty when Im back.

Unlocking DLC is possible, some of it (like the axe, thunder researches)
Other DLCs require additional files to be downloaded so hacking is not gonna help

But I also see the code to compare your WiiPoint before letting you to buy the DLCs
so "may be", you can bypass that to download the DLCs you want.
But I am not gonna try it for I fear that my IP is logged, LOL

What program did you use to edit .app file?

All I can find with a hex editor are the strings and stuff.
Like all the randomly selected names, all the names of items, all the dialogue, etc.

I'm new to this, any tips on finding stuff that actually matters? xd

huh... I tried unpacking the wad and the app files don't show up...
EDIt: nvm...
Ok I see the different files now, but is there anyway to edit them? it seems the king's clothes is a brres file, if we could edit that we'd have custom outfits.

Could you explain what you edited in the 00000002.app file
and how you did it?
because i have tried to edit a few things but every time i install the wad on my WII
and start the game it freezes.

yes i made an account just so i could post for this, is there anyway to do this with a simple hex editor? im on a mac and of course probably all of the extractors wont work, (maby there is, if so plz pm me with it i would love you like a fat kid in skinny jeans) so i have a simple hex editor, but you know, im 16 and $250 only comes once in 4 weeks (2 paychecks in full

..) so any chance of bricking i would like to avoid. however if you uploaded it to a site and told me where to search i would love you like opra... yes the big O

It can be done with a hex editor.

Knowing a bit of programming helps, though.
