Okay. What do you want to see in the next nintendo console?most n64 emulators in general can't
Metroid Prime 4Okay. What do you want to see in the next nintendo console?
personally don't care I just play gamesOkay. What do you want to see in the next nintendo console?
That's software.Metroid Prime 4
But do you play with power?personally don't care I just play games
A console can never emulate itself, as emulation requires BETTER hardware than the target console. If you have a more powerful console or a powerful PC, then and ONLY then you can emulate a console.realistically it has the hardware so yes
somebody doesnt know how hardware emulation works or virtualization. to put it simple since it has the hardware an emulator wouldn't actually emulateA console can never emulate itself, as emulation requires BETTER hardware than the target console. yes and no hell I still use my 3ds which isn't exactly a powerhouse and I also use it for its gba and ds built in hardwareBut do you play with power?
No idea what they will do next, I can guess but I’m only guessing.Okay, will nintendo keep to their successful formula or will they go for something new?
What would you wish for?No idea what they will do next, I can guess but I’m only guessing.
Not really going to change the market at all, really. Nintendo has been doing their own thing since the Wii era and away from the whole console war thing. So if they don't care about Sony and Microsoft, why would they care about the Valve and its Steam Deck? Besides, the Steam Deck is more on the side of PC gaming market rather than the console market. Even Valve said that they aren't trying to compete with the Switch because they're targeting a completely different market (PC gaming). Not to mention, it's only officially available by buying from Steam and then waiting months for your own unit to be shipped. Not every casual gamer would want to wait that long. Meanwhile the Switch is already readily available in plenty of retail stores all around the world and easy to use without much hassle.how do you see the Steam Deck changing the Console market in particular in relation to Nintendos plans to potentially releasing a new console in the coming years?
No,if they didn't care for expects on gens like the wii they wouldn't for a portable console, nintendo mostly sells for the ips,i don't get why people are still with this joke since they know that already, they basically do something and anyone on the internet gets crazy, look at the directs
Hello,
how do you see the Steam Deck changing the Console market in particular in relation to Nintendos plans to potentially releasing a new console in the coming years?
Joysticks that don't quickly break from even light, casual use would be nice.Okay. What do you want to see in the next nintendo console?
They cared about the genesis. Not really going to change the market at all, really. Nintendo has been doing their own thing since the Wii era and away from the whole console war thing. So if they don't care about Sony and Microsoft, why would they care about the Valve and its Steam Deck?
Well it is a handheld.Besides, the Steam Deck is more on the side of PC gaming market rather than the console market.
They are being modest.Even Valve said that they aren't trying to compete with the Switch because they're targeting a completely different market (PC gaming).
That's how much people want it.Not to mention, it's only officially available by buying from Steam and then waiting months for your own unit to be shipped.
Okay, so Steam Deck users are people who can wait. Not every casual gamer would want to wait that long. Meanwhile the Switch is already readily available in plenty of retail stores all around the world and easy to use without much hassle.
You are more imaginative than that.Joysticks that don't quickly break from even light, casual use would be nice.
I did mention "since the Wii era", yes? They cared about the genesis.
Yeah, a handheld gaming PC. Hence, "PC gaming market".Well it is a handheld.
Of course they are. But it makes sense considering how specialized the Steam Deck is made, so the needed parts and components would take a lot more time and work needed. Especially with the ongoing parts shortages. They are being modest.
Sure, but not as much or as fast as the Switch is still currently selling. Which, again, availability of the Steam Deck is a lot less considering it can only be sold on Steam and not in any physical retail shops globally around the world like the Switch does. That's how much people want it.
If you put it like that, then sure.Okay, so Steam Deck users are people who can wait.
Oh you did yeah. hehe... Maybe they should care? Maybe they will?I did mention "since the Wii era", yes?
A handheld gaming PC... that seems like a artificial differentiation.Yeah, a handheld gaming PC. Hence, "PC gaming market".
Give it some time.Sure, but not as much or as fast as the Switch is still currently selling. Which, again, availability of the Steam Deck is a lot less considering it can only be sold on Steam and not in any physical retail shops globally around the world like the Switch does.
Yes, the steam deck users right now are only the patient ones.If you put it like that, then sure.
For now.Either way, I don't see the Steam Deck changing much of anything within the console gaming market. Let alone make Nintendo worry about it at all since the Switch is still selling really well.
Yes, but maybe at that point the Steam Deck will be big in japan and when they tank the next console it's really gonna hurt them real bad. They're more worried about keeping their current Switch playerbase for the next console than the Steam Deck itself. lol
Can you believe that people are thinking the Steam Deck doesn't affect nintendo at all?Was on my Switch everyday b4 I got my Steam Deck. Sat outside waiting on launch day in -20 degree temps for my Switch. Now my Switch sits collecting dust due to lack of any worth while games the last while, only game to look forward to is BOTW 2. Just nice being able to run basically any game from any generation when the mood strike. Twilight princess HD? Yup. Skyward Sword HD? Yup. Link to the Past, with orcastra audio and FVM opening cut scence mod? Why not. The entire Resident Evil Collection available when the mood strikes. Pretty much every Metal Gear Solid game out there minus #4. I'm a Nintendo fan since 1989 and loved my Switch, but I'm sorry with a lack of any new worthwhile software the Switch just seems stagnant. Nintendo really needs to do something with the Switch 2 or what ever they decide to name it
it really doesn't. it effects it as much as portable pcs always have which is not at all. steam deck is not the first or even the strongest. but of course people like usual have to play into the childish console warsCan you believe that people are thinking the Steam Deck doesn't affect nintendo at all?
