I would say wait until emu_kidid released his new loader, which could take even months. And then look if people say the SD-Gecko loading is wii compatible or not. If it is, buy a SD-Gecko.

Erm...I think you're mixinging up a few words here. You need an SD gecko or an "IDE-EXI" cable, which connects the gamecube memory card slot to an IDE-based drive like in this picture...USB gecko's won't work.



...unless I'm missing something totally new here (what's an EXT?

actually there is USB boot wich loads through the USB Gecko. It's very stable but it's incredibly SLOWWWWWWW!

Otherwise I think you've got it.

Swiss + sd gecko is noticeable faster? Also i think its compatiblity is sh*t compared to Swiss'. But if anybody wants to try it on their Wii, i recommend using the Wii Swiss Booter to boot it.
