Hacking Is Band Hero update safe?

I bought Band Hero today and I am wondering if installing the update on the disc is safe.
I have 4.1E, with The Homebrew Channel installed

Install StartPatch/Priiloader and enable "block disc updates"

If you've been prompted to update, nintendo has already notified interpol and they're probably on their way already. At the very least, you're on their watch list. Good luck trying to board a plane.

Lol at this, but if its to 4.2 i suggest following a guide like this one Update any wii 4.2 or lower and you will be 100% AOK.
