Zune's software is not going to recognize your Ipod as a Zune. However, there are workarounds so you don't have to touch Itunes to load/modify files on your Ipod touch. Check Google

Jailbreaking an iPod Touch is easy. Just get redsn0w and v3.0 firmware (NOT 3.1.x!) and follow the instructions redsn0w gives you. The firmware isn't freely distributed by Apple so Google will be your friend...

You should really PM stuff like that instead of posting it publicly. A mod will likely come and remove the link and warn you.

1) The current firmware (3.1.2) is jailbreak-able, so there is no reason to stay on 3.0.

2) redsnow is outdated. You should use PwnageTool, or obtain already PwnageTool-modified firmware file from various sites.

3) The script on the page linked above redirects to the freely distributed downloads on Apple's server, and thus there is no reason for it to be removed.

Thanks for correcting me on that. I could swear I did some searching w/in the past few days for an update on 3.1.x jailbreaking...

My bad... I didn't see the fine print about the Apple server. Would really think they would lock it up behind a script to prevent free downloading of an upgrade they want you to pay for...

iTunes sucks. I swear they make the Windows version slow on purpose:

I have a Windows 7 machine with a Core 2 Quad. iTunes takes a very noticeable time to load. I also have Mac OSX in a virtual machine...iTunes loads instantly. On the same machine. While that machine is running a virtual Mac.

Performance isn't the main reason iTunes sucks.

Not to say Zune software is any better; in all honesty I would consider it worse.

QFT

One very annoying reason why iTunes sucks is that if you don't sync apps you have downloaded directly to your iPhone/iPod Touch then it will delete them. Also syncing Apps always ends up giving duplicates in the list in iTunes which pisses me off as well...

Not necessarily. GBAtemp's server sucks yet it's still somewhat usable.

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
