Erm, well you can easily just create Multi-ISO discs for Gamecube games and fit like 2-3 on a single DVD-R. Even then, I think the Wii runs in Gamecube mode when you run a Gamecube game, and I have no idea if USB Loader can run games in Gamecube mode. Just buy a stack of like 10 DVD's and that's easily 30 Gamecube games.

They're not run thru an emulator. They're ports.

you would need the source code and a lot of effort to make a gamecube game work on the wii hardware. wii does change into gamecube mode when launching gamecube games, so no usb, no bluetooth...usb gamecube loading is almost impossible, except with a drive emulator, then the wii thinks a gamecube disc is in the drive so all will work as normal

It would not work. Just injecting a GC game into a wii games architecture is not feasible. The way that the disks are actually interpretted are different, as are the structure of the data themselves.

thank you all for reply.

Make this question because see loaders allow to run single .dol (eg: metroid collection)
and think all gamecube 'port' (mario tennis) are based on this idea.

Another dream bites the dust.

Hope new fat driver for loader open some doors also for GC titles...

good night all,

m.

It wont unfortunately as there is still the issue that the USB ports power down when playing a gamecube game, stopping a usbloader being practicle.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
