To the real thing. So wait, are you comparing to the real thing or a different FireRed bootleg?

Alright. Thanks for letting me know. I've updated the first post with the new titles and corrected Castlevania.I have a fake amazing mirror
the kirby's aren't on the original's cartridge, the number on the back is AGB-033.
I've seen fake mario and luigi super star saga's around the indie game stores here. it uses the official box art for its cart image
I've seen around Blue F-zero maximum velocity carts with the blue falcon on them, the real ones are black with a purple vehicle on them.
Also you got it backwards on the front page the castlevania WITH the CE is the real one. That is a PAL cart they all have that.
An as additional stuff the cartridges for boktai games and drill dozer use different codes for their respective carts. So if you look on the back and see 002 screwed over.
Drill Dozer is AGB-021A
Boktai games are AGB-013
Did some final research and corrected.Hon you didn't quite read that right. the CE mark is for PAL games. Take into account region differences in this.
Yours was that fragile? Mine had a minor crack in the shell but it never broke when inserting it. o.oOh, forgot to mention that my bootleg Fire Red has AGB-004 on the back and a battery inside, just like most other bootlegs.
But the super-cheap and super-brittle casing broke when I tried to pop it in the GBA SP I have so I tossed it in the trash.

I've been wanting to get my hands on fake DS games, actually, but I don't have the money to buy them, nor would I know where to start looking for them.I have seen a fake Pokemon Crystal, it was a GBA game and I believe a hacked version of FireRed. I saw it at a video game store.
I have owned a fake LeafGreen, it had a grey casing, a clearly fake sticker and was half translated into Engrish and Chinese. Same with a FireRed. I done own them anymore though.
There really needs to be one of these threads for Fake DS games as well. I don't know if they are that common, but my boyfriend bought me a Pokemon Platinum on Ebay and we ended with two, which were both fake. They both were in like milky white cases, with clearly printed out box art, the manual was real though. Both games had serious problems. One when you shuck it, you could hear something in it. That one didn't save. The second one took forever to load up, took forever to save, and might drop the save. It also didn't work on a DSi.
The first one when I opened it up a small chip fell out. I would assume that chip was for the save file.
The second one had totally different hardware from the first one.
So two fake Pokemon Platinum, two different hardware, both broken.
But at least the manuals were real!
I am going to post pictures if I can find some. I found some of the fake LeafGreen I mentioned.I've been wanting to get my hands on fake DS games, actually, but I don't have the money to buy them, nor would I know where to start looking for them.I have seen a fake Pokemon Crystal, it was a GBA game and I believe a hacked version of FireRed. I do have someone sending me 2 more fake GBA games in the mail soon, though. I'll be cracking them open, profiling them, getting gameplay photos, card photos, and adding them to my fakes wiki.
@Luigi2012SM64DS It's my own thread though ;____;
True that is, hopefully no one will know that they are actually fake and start paying insane prices. I have seen the obvious fakes that are like 50-in-1 or 100-in-1 games, but those are a little too obvious.I am going to post pictures if I can find some. I would send you my fake games, but I already took them apart and trashed them years ago.
The best place to start looking for fakes is Ebay. I always get fake games there.

Or if they say "This game can be played" when you start them up.All the main pokemon games on the gba have metallic labels. If it's plain glossy then it's fake.

Yeah. They seem to have bootleg checks to verify the legitimacy of the card. iirc there are patches for Diamond and Pearl's NDS images that disable that feature and allow bootlegs/flashcard copies to communicate with the DS games and not have their save games nuked.Or if they say "This game can be played" when you start them up.All the main pokemon games on the gba have metallic labels. And if you transfer the pokemon from the gba cart to a ds game like diamond, the save will get deleted.
