I received a "GAME BOY GB (REVC) PRO+" flash cart in the mail today and after, searching for a bit i've yet to find anything in regards to the firmware files for it. Does that mean i should just slap my games on it, or is there actually firmware files for it that's just questionably difficult to track down online?

Any amount of assistance is much appreciated, thanks!

Those are Everdrive GB clones, same hardware but has different branding. But, just like the other poster said, don't flash an official Everdrive firmware onto it, as you will permanently brick it.

+1 to @SylverReZ.

These clones are usually just repackaged with different shells, but are essentially the same thing.
I use these to test between Goomba and Backwards compatibility.

You don't need to install any firmware.

Just slap in your games and it should work as long as you have the ff. directories/structure:
📂 ./
📂 EDGB
📂 SAVE

Yeah, these Everdrive GB clones don't have any updateable firmware. They all say "OS v4" and that's what you're stuck with.
Isn't OSv4 the latest one (for the EDGB), as krikkz stopped selling them, in order to focus on the X... series of flashcarts?
I remember that a guy from Elotrolado dumped or got from a Chinese seller a firmware OSv4 file that had the brick code removed. I (recently) tested it on a very old JACK DIY clone with OSv1 & it worked (I think it flashed once on boot, then you had to delete the OSV4 file or else it kept firing off everytime, halving the lifespan of the flash chip with writes.)
edit: I still have the file, if someone wants to analyze it / has a spare cartridge to burn.

yes!(I'm so sad it dead). I’ve installed the official Everdrive GB firmware version 4 on this device, but now it’s giving me an ‘Authentication error’ .
Do you think it’s possible to replace it with the OSv1 version you mentioned above? I’d reaaaaally appreciate it!

This is the aforementioned OSv4 (the one who worked on my clone). Try it - I have my doubts, but maybe the EDGB will autoboot the updater. If this fails the only way to recover is by using an external programmer.

if u have a everdrive gameboy pro(or pro+) (chinese clone?)
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE(S) PUT THE OFFICIAL EVERDRIVE FIRMWARE ON.

It will brick.
this has been stated already in this exact thread

i just bought one Game Flash GB OS.V4 Pro+ and of course it came with OS 1 installed on it.
I already opened a Dispute on Aliexpress because it's false Advertisement.

If it would have been OS4 that's on the Card I wouldn't care about it but because it's on OS 1 which sucks I'm not okay keeping it.

Question is: Did anybody tried the Modified Version of OS4 that Fabax01 Provided? i compared the Firmware File to the Original by using Total Commander and there are only 2 bits that are different.

If nobody tried this and Aliexpress wanting me to ship it, then I will give it a shot and see what happens...if it Bricks then i mean it proofs the Point that this Card is a fake and we know for sure if this Firmware can be used on those Fake Cards or not.
If it works then we can all Update...so if nobody reports back with confirmation then I will sacrifice my Garbage Device for it.

Either outcome i still got my EZflash Jr. which is a Million Times better anyway.

Hi, I have that edgb pro clone cartridge with os v4 and the microsd that came with it had gbos.gb, I don't know if it works for you but I attach the file. Regards.

The file melteolate provided is not save to use and definitely still contains the Brick Code.

The only difference from the File he Provided to the Original Everdrive one is that in the About section a few things has been changed:

Everdrive GB was replaced with (c) 2024-2021

and

I..Golubovskiy.Support:[email protected]://krikzz.com with KY.Technology.Support:.KY Technology.....Co. ,LTD

My Advice on this one: DO NOT UPDATE !!!
