You guys are hilarious.

720p AMOLED or 1080p AMOLED display, with games rendering at 720p and upscaling.

4K support? Sure, even the PS4Pro has that. Even the Xbox One S has that!! But will it look nice in 4K? No.

Nintendo has never been about fancy, high-res graphics, until people bitched. But I still believe they will hold back resolution for performance, like Sony and Microsoft still do.

You're hilarious for thinking games will run at only 720p natively....
EDIT: 720p not 1080p lol

Can you read properly please? I said 720p native. Sure, first party Wii U games were 1080p, because they took the time to program for the damn thing. But if they are supporting AAA titles, these need to easily work on newer systems (aka support for UE4). I easily see Nintendo going for battery life over resolution.

Since we will know nothing for sure until January - or even not until March if Nintendo intends on being vague, lets make up our own specs (ideally somewhat based on what we know and what we think we know) to pass the time.

Mine:

  • 6.6" 1080p screen, 60fps target achieved by most games.
  • 6GB ram, 512MB eDRAM (think Crystalwell) shared by all cores.
  • 64GB onboard storage, SDXC slot officially supporting 512GB
  • CPU more powerful then PS4
  • GPU effectively a GTX 1055, more powerful than PS4
  • Shortly into console lifespan a "Power Dock" with eGPU equivalent to GTX 1070, makes Switch 4K
  • 6-7 hour battery life.
  • Joy-cons can be switched out with third-party or even personalized ones, such as a Gamecube style or Bowser edition
  • Eventually comes in multiple editions, including a Hyrule edition with gold Zelda motif on back and matching Joycons and Dock.
  • VC portability - all VC games purchased from other consoles can be redownloaded on the Switch for free or minimal cost.
  • Comes with an updated account system with everything we currently have in the free tier, and you can pay a subscription which allows for cloud saves
  • NOT ANDROID. But does have a full collection of media apps including Netflix and web browser.
  • still optimistic but more realistic:
  • 6.5" 720p screen, high 30- low 50fps average (generally closer to 30), 60fps target achieved by some games*.
  • 4GB ram
  • 8GB, 16gb, and 32gb onboard storage options, SDXC slot officially supporting 2TB°
  • CPU aboout as powerful as ps3
  • GPU effectively intel integrated graphics 4000, supports 1080p
  • console has an improved gpu capable of 4k at 30 fps. maybe an extra gig of ram or so, and a couple usb ports. think the keyboard half of the surface book.
  • 6-7 hour battery life.
  • Joy-cons can be switched out with third-party ones, such as a Gamepad style or super mario tennis wiimote throwback edition
  • Eventually comes in multiple editions, including a Hyrule edition with gold Zelda motif on back and matching Joycons and Dock.
  • VC portability - all VC games purchased from other consoles can be redownloaded on the Switch for free or minimal cost. some virtual console can be transferrred to the switch after a system transfer, nnid transfer, and sending a gift basket to nintendo, followed by a phone call asking them to migrate your games onto your account on the switch-shop
  • Comes with an updated account system with everything we currently have in the free tier, and you can pay a subscription which allows for cloud saves nope
  • NOT ANDROID. But does have a full collection of media apps including Netflix, web browser that makes you want to kill yourself, miiverse 2.0, and swapnote: the second (still no more spotpass)
  • 3rd party support, maybe from companies that will make useful apps other than games. (google chrome for switch?) <- just kidding that will never happen

*on the loading screens
°most sdxc slots can support up to 2tb, usually its a soft limit if its lower. hopefully the switch software can handle 2 tb expansion

First of all, this is unrealistic as hell (well, that's what the thread is about).

"GPU equivalent to RX480 on mobile, GTX 1060 at home"

RX480 = GTX 1060

There's barely a perf difference.

For those who says 1080p for the tablet, forget about it, the tablet is too small, you wont notice any difference between 1080p and 720p
For my specs :
On tablet:
720p touchscreen
RAM : 6gb
CPU : 8-core 3.8-4.2GHz
HDD: 256Gb
SDCard : Support up to 1TB SDCard
GPU : About GTX1060 3GB
On Power deck:
Resolution : 1080p in game/4k streaming
RAM : 12GB
CPU : Same as tablet
HDD : Same as tablet
SDCard : Same as tablet
GPU : About GTX 1070/980ti (6GB)

Finally got an appointment with an ENT, but it's not for another month. It's already been 4- days of loud ringing in my left ear, substantial pain on left side of my neck and left side on the back of my head. Doctors here at the regular clinic put me on a couple different meds for a month that did absolutely nothing, then they told me there's nothing more they can do for me despite being in pain and my ear sounding like im underwater and ringing.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
Then three chiropractor appointments which also didn't help at all so i didn't go to the 4th. Been trying to get ahold of this ENT clinic out of town for a week and finally got an appointment set up. But its not til the 17th of July so I have to suffer all this shit for nearly another month.
  • RedColoredStars @ RedColoredStars:
I hope relief from all of this is on the way because I've felt so defeated and severaly lacking in sleep because of the pain and ringing.
