Hacking I THINK I BRICKED MY WII!!

Can anyone help? I was trying to downgrade my wii to 3.2U my region settings were fine and i tried to install and i got an error half way through but it kept going.
the error was something like
error = -1017

i'd gotten it b4 when trying to install cios and was told by wiigator and djtaz to downgrade using the october 23rd fix and now i'm still on the screen that says
WARNING: AREA/SysMenu MISMATCH!

Someone please help and tell me what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Um...Ok can you boot into the wii menu ?If you can't then your going to need a wii game with the latest update and patchmii.

I haven't tried restarting it because it says Installed Region: .
and i'm kinda scared of what will happen...because theres no system menu number......

Do you have the Twilight Hack on the Wii memory??? just in case, you should've use the Custom IOS Downgrader from Waninkoko, it is way more safe..!!! sorry mate

I don't have it on my sd card but i could put it on.....shit i hope this works out, ne one been in a situation like this?
even if i can't use homebrew i want to retain the ability to play legit games....

ok now ne one know what I should do to prevent any harm from occuring to my wii... any tests.. ne thing.. i don't wanna just start installing cios and really mess up my wii.

Happened same thing to me. Crapped my pants and since then only used cIOS downgrader ...

It was an error i was getting even b4 trying to downgrade... it was error= -1017,

ne ways should i try installing cios rev7 by waninkoko and see if it works or if i get the same message....i don't wanna hurt my wii but i wanna know if its still ok to use

Ok get Starfall 0.5 to install a recovery mode for your wii for if it ever gets bricked.Also get the 3 in 1 pack backuploader and install that first then install the new backup loader gamma.

In order to take it to a safe place, you need to install the latest cIOS from waninkoko, and aply the IOS Dwongrader 1.0, that's all, check this topic

Ok so i should use starfall 0.5 to make a recoverymode and then use waninkoko's cios downgrader to properly install 3.2U on my Wii and then try out the ciosrev6 then the back uploader and then rev7 and the new backup loader? I'm gunna be up all night :S

Wait starfall 0.5 only makes things region free not recovery mode...you sure yo got the right app?

Um...Ok.No problem dude I just don't know what use would the ios downgrader do you if your already at 3.2 but anyways just install starfall ,then the 3 in 1 laucher thing, then the new gamma backup loader.

AnyRegionChanger also gave me an error even though it successfully downgraded me.

Also, Starfall does have a recovery mode patch option alone with region free discs/channels
