I need some volunteers to extract their save game exploit RBK files.
I need the savegame exploits extracted with the Nintendo Backup Disc

I Have Indiana PWNS, but am in need of the following RBK:
Yu-Gi-Vah NTSC-J = RYOJ
Yu-Gi-Vah NTSC-U =RYOE
Yu-Gi-OWNED -60hz = RYOP
Yu-Gi-OWNED -50hz = RYOP

If you have these, or can install these on your wii, please extract them for me.

Process:
Load Nintendo Backup(250).iso.zip from disc or usb
Select Backup single title
Select RYO~ and back it up to your sd card
Rename this file to the exploit name.
Example Yu-Gi-VAH-NTSC-J.RBK
ZIP or RAR the file and upload to mediafire.com or other
Post the link here please, or PM me.

With these files users can install the exploit without ever running the game. It can be used as an extra layer of brick protection. I just need the files

if it allows you to install a save without ever playing the game, does that mean it contains the TMD/ticket? is there anything that is property of nintendo contained in these? why can they not be made with one homebrew tools?

I don't know if it contains Nintendo property, but is must contain the ticket and title because it allows you to install any savegame on any wii without playing the game. I would think a HB app could do this, but ATM they don't extract the ticket, only title.

Could you make this clear for me?
With this we're able to run the HackMii Installer without having one of the "Exploit" games installed?

You got this working Indiana_PWNS-PAL?

How can games be installed on the Wii? I get your point but to execute the exploits you have to run the associated games first.

Copying save files on the Wiis NAND only make sense to me if we can copy twilight hack on 4.X.

i dont quite follow this either

even if you could make it possible to copy saves to wii without playing the actual game first, i thought the code beneath the save is only executed when the game loads the save?

sounds like he wants to install the exploited savefiles with a overly complex tutorial filled with unneeded steps.

this way if you brick but can get a modchip to autoboot a disc with recovery menu, you can still fix a brick

how would this be any different than using the already available gamesaves though? you still must play the game before you can use the exploit. and you still must use the system menu to install the saves to the nand. most wiis have a stubbed IOS, so you cant use the wiibackupdisc to install these saves in an emergency. this only cuts out the step of having to play the game 1 time before you can put the exploit on the wii. i dont see how it offers any added brick protection.

if you were thinking ahead and planning for d-day so to speak, you might as well just install priiloader, or patch fakesignability into your system menu IOS. either one of those will get you out of the hole just fine.

it doesn't. I assume it's going to get added to the already too long guides out there so that people could buy the game and modchip when their wii is already bricked

This is simply a method to install the savegame exploit onto a wii without running/having the game. This way if the exploit is ever needed at a latter date and time, the user will have it installed and can use it. Basically it provides a means to recover from the recovery menu should any muck up their priiloader, lose their patched system ios, etc, they will have the game exploits installed and can use them. They would need to get the game, and install a modchip to autoboot the game, but they would have the exploits which can not typically be installed from the RM.
So a new wii with a d3-2 drive can run a retail game exploit from the recovery menu. They may mod their wii with bannerbomb and never use or have such game, this lets them install them.

You can even install them from the recovery menu on wiis with a functional ios16, modchip, and dvd drive that reads burned dvd media.

It is an excellent idea to always have at least one, if not more game exploits installed on your wii should you need to use it. Highly recommended by yours truly.

So the idea is to load the backup disc from neogamma or cfg usbloader, install any game exploits you wish. Then you have them, you never need to play such game to install them. Then if you need them you get the game, you get the chip, you run the exploit and fix your wii. Ios16 is not required for this to work, it runs fine on cios.

I kept the Twilight Hack installed for quite some time for about the same reason -- I wanted another way to bail in case I screwed up. Of course, BootMii didn't exist back then, my Wii didn't have a vulnerable boot1/2, and Starfall was the best we had. *sniff* memories...

How about considering SSBB JPN/USA exploit ? There is no need to copy/install
this kind of exploit to Wii console as long as you can run these games by any way.
(EX: from the recovery menu with an autoboot modchip).

But so far there is no KOR/PAL exploit of SSBB.

Sabb NTSC-u does not autoboot, so it does not help with brick. Ssbb-pal autoboots, not sure about gap or kor. Indiana pwns, Zelda, yu-gi-yo all autoboot and can fix bricks.

Here is what I intend.

Method 1- pre-brick
You can add extra layer of brick protection to your wii by installing the Indiana PWNS, Yo-Gi-VAH, and Yo-Gi-OWNED disc exploits onto your wii. These exploits can be used to load code should you ever be in a tight spot and need to use them. You can install them by first playing the game and installing the exploit save file, or you can install them without having the game with the method below.
Process-
Extract your Savegame exploit HACK rbk file to sd:\

Indiana PWNS
PAL- Indiana_PWNS-PAL.zip
USA- Indiana_PWNS-USA.zip
JAP- Indiana_PWNS-JAP.zip

YU-GI-VAH
USA- YU-GI-VAH-NTSC-U.zip
JAP- YU-GI-VAH-NTSC-J.zip

YU-GI-OWNED
PAL60- YU-GI-OWNED-PAL-60hz.zip
PAL50- YU-GI-OWNED-PAL-50hz.zip

Load Nintendo Backup(250).iso.zip from disc or usb
The disc loads well with neogamma r8 running cios38-r17 via disc or wbfs usb.

Select the restore option
restore your Savegame HACK rbk file

Method 2- Post Brick
Install Savegame HACKS from Recovery Menu

This will let you install "Indiana PWNS", "YU-GI-VAH/OWNED" or the "Twilight Hack" from the recovery menu via savemiifrii
Good for fixing banner type bricks if you have no priiloader or bootmii and did not patch the system ios.

Requirements-
Modchip

I do but the optometrist I got my glasses at last year was expensive as fuck even WITH my insurance, so I'm gonna order on Zenni and see if my insurance will reimburse it. And if they won't, then, oh well, still will be cheaper anyway
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
$90 for the safety glasses on Zenni, vs my daily wear glasses were >$200 after insurance

Haven't been to the eye doc in like 3 years but was pretty surprised they cut the glass in office had the in like an hour ready

That's pretty sweet, I had to wait like a week or so for mine to be ready

Lookin at buying another pair of regular glasses too. And maybe prescription sunglasses

Yeah most just ship off to a lab could always call around to see if new ones have in office glass cutters

My eyes aren't that bad, I need mine for driving but ever since I got my latest pair I wear them all the time when I'm home now, I never used to before

But even my computer monitors, that are like 3ft away when I'm leaning back in my chair, so much easier to see now with my glasses than without

Doc was cool though, he measured my old glasses and I wanted to try different contacts than I had had previously and he's like "hmmm I bet you're this strength and that strength" and damn dude was dead on the money

Know a guy who did laser surgery for like 2g but argued you'd never need glasses again
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
    laser eye surgery scares me
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
The thought of any kind of surgery shit being done on my eyes gives me unbelievable amounts of dread and anxiety, and with the potential risks or side effects that laser eye surgery has, I don't think my eyes are bad enough to warrant it. I can see without my glasses - not great, but not bad either.
