Hacking I Just Broke my Only Micro-SD Card

I was pulling out the adaptor and was a bit rough and it snapped in half...
$65 AU 1gb sandisk ultra card

i am so sad.

it is only about 1 & 1/2 months since i bought it.

do you think that the store might replace it?

otherwise, i currently cannot afford a new one.

MicroSD cards were never meant for multiple insertions...I would recommend using DSFTP to reduce the amount of times requires to insert and eject. Especially if you're just doing one or two files at a time.

If it's any consolation this is where I bought my MicroSD card.

1GB Kingston, mine was Japanese made. Very fast shipping and excellent service. And only $49!

This card should be on par with the ultra II, it's very speedy.

Most MicroSD cards have a lifetime warranty don't they? I know the 3 Kingstons's I have do, and also the DaneElec that I have. Maybe your brand has a lifetime warranty?

even though i have a sandisk, i doubt the warranty covers one thats been snapped in half.

My friend saw a kingston 1GB in a store for $30 just the other day. Not sure what store but it may have been JB. I know it was a largish chain store.
I can get unknown brand 1gb ones close by for $30 too.

i held off my purchase cuz the store i went to was out of stock. hmm major department store? maybe i'll check out some tommorow. Last time ai checked JB they didn't have very good prices on their cards and i didn't see any kingstons. in fact i can't seem to find any kingstons around here. I can find them online but its a bit of a hassle for me at the moment so i want to buy at a store front. thanks for the offer 4saken but i want you to get the best price you can and i'd rather look around first. good luck in selling it though.

I thought using the ftp thing would be a good approach, but when attempting to transfer a 45 minute tv show, the resulting video was all scrambled. And it took 2 hours to send the 100 meg file!
