I have an idea for rcm mode instead of paperclip rcm method. Just wondering if it would work.

Since the paper clip method is a bit risky cause of the measurements... I was thinking if I used a broken joycon and tore it down and took off the slide in piece part with the pins it uses to connect with the switch(or whatever) and took off all the pins except for the ones needed to boot recovery mode.
Could this potentially be an alternate method to boot into recovery mode to homebrew the switch??

And if it was rewired for both pins to be connected then would it work???

Yes it would work, this has already been proven and you can find the pinouts online. There are far easier methods and you don't have to ruin a joycon to do it. you can order that slide piece on eBay though if you really want to stay away from the paperclip

Also as a side note I was apart of the initial testing, debugging, and payload launching in RCM and I've been using the same method since with no issues on the rails.

Yes, this will work. In fact, this is almost exactly the same setup I use. I took an empty Joy-Con shell and fitted it together with just the rail component and the pins soldered together internally. Works great with minimal risk of damaging the rails on the console.

I don't really have any use for them but I'll take that into consideration.
