I just managed to pick up a Secret Of Mana USA SNES cart for £4 from a school fete/flea market, omg, you barely see this game in the PAL UK region, let alone a USA cart version.

Some sports mum was selling it and was like 'My son moved out and left his SNES at home, so we are selling it off', apparently he had Earthbound too but someone had already bought that for £3.50.

That guy is gonna be REAL happy when he gets back from wherever he's gone and finds out his mother sold his Earthbound and SoM cart's for just under £10.

I am going to feel sorry for that kid. If he was going to sell it, it'd go on ebay for a lot more. But a bargain is a bargain.

Nah sadly they were just the carts in one of those old SNES game holders, but still, SoM is Som!

I got up late so i missed the start of the fete, i would have had a fit if i'd seen Earthbound for £3.50, i'd have been doing cartwheels over the stalls lol!

(Oh and i knew someone was going to say 'Lolz i get teh DS games for $0.00', try getting Earthbound on the DS non-emulated)

if you want cash fast, and you have nes or a snes in good condition, go to ebay or collector sites, they'll happily give you enough cash where you can buy a wii with four controllers for it

I'm detecting sarcasm. Please tell me if I'm correct.

He obviously means teh Flashcarts.

Ugh, why is it as soon as someone mentions buying something with monies someone says "I is pirate, free games is me"?

On topic: Great find bud. I doubt you'd pay so little for it on eBay. That game was a GD underappreciated classic.

People like that annoy the hell out of me. Admittedly I own quite alot of copies for the SNES and the Saturn (some of the games go at ridiculous prices I just can't afford), but there's nothing like staring at that shelf full of orginals! Going by Sonics logic I too picked up a copy of Secret of Mana for $0, but the two floppy disks that it's on look nowhere near as impressive as Resient0's cart (and mine!). Copies hold no weight really if you're a collector or fan, and definitely not if you're being nostalgiac!

Good find Resi mate! I don't think I've ever seen a copy in the last few years go that cheap! Shame about missing Earthbound, although if you had have gotten it at that price I just might possibly have had to spend the next few months of my life tracking you down and killing you!

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
