why xubuntu? if you're using vista it should have no problem running the gnome version.

not for this PC...for a AMD Duron 900 Mhz, 128 MB 133 SDRAM, Nvidia TNT 2 32 MB VRAM machine

a PC which can run Vista should even handle Kubuntu well
