I quite agree Hadrian and speaking American all but fills me with shame and does little to extricate the deep sense of self loathing that has taken up residence in light of my using it some years back. In my defense defence it would not be the first time language has been twisted in an attempt at humour or in an attempt to appeal to a larger audience.
