WiiMC could play DVD video on "DVD Compatible" drives on the Wii.
Later manufactured Wii removed that possibility.
WiiU drive doesn't have the option to read DVD video.

Just because I would I made my early Wii play DVDs. Even though its a pretty dumb thing to do since the Wii barely had a way to deal with massive amounts of heat and stress that constantly reading a disk would create.

Just stop the sale of it in Japan, and move along. I don't want patches that take away game content because someone/ some country has issues with the content. Should USA bitch about all games that have content that is similar to Pearl Harbor and have them edited/ removed. -
