How do I use my legit microphone with Dolphin?

I know this seems weird, but I want to try playing Mario Party 6 in Dolphin, with the Mic games on. Nobody ever plays them, but I want to play them. However, I found nothing on the Dolphin Guides to help me out. All I see is: "Push a button to emulate the microphone!"

Help me out here!

    My phone's default alarm sound is very very soft piano music over calming nature sounds. Whenever I set some custom alarm time I have to remember to change the tone because I sleep right through the default one.
