Haven't tested it yet though, will test it right now.
edit: Works perfectly.
Well something like that
There is no real difference. You won't need a channel of each homebrew with the homebrew channel though, and it will take less space on the Wii flash memmory (as the homebrew channel is really small and reads from the SD card). Also, I imagine updating using the SD card is easier, and you don't depend on Paradox who will need to make a new wad if a new elf is already out.berlinka said:I've read most of the things concerning the Homebrew Channel. But I don't really get why I would want to run e.g. the SNES and NES emulators via this new homebrew channel instead of using the (wad installed) channel emulators I already have.
Is there anybody who can tell me why I should be using this method? Or is there no difference at all?
Well, other than you save up blocks by using the apps from the SD card, and in the Message Board log it will say everytime "Homebrew Channel" instead of for example GameBoy Channel, now, nothing.berlinka said:I've read most of the things concerning the Homebrew Channel. But when new versions come out of these apps, then it'll be definitely better to use from the Homebrew Channel because it's faster to update the app.
But maybe PaRaDoX updates his Channels, too.

I had the same problem!berlinka said:I just tried a WAD installer to install the homebrew channel. I tried Tetris first. I get the loading bar and then....nothing. After that I tried every application but all hang at the loading bar.
What am I doing wrong?
Oh and I can't go back to the Wii Menu (black screen)
