Gaming HG/SS - Party's? Post 'em HERE!

I'm hyped, just ordered my AK2i so i can play HG/SS, got sick of my DSTT, gunna start off my game soon, but just for shits and giggles, heres my group so far.

I need to do a little bit of tweeking around with it, debating on tossing Bellsprout for a whooper

Note: I stopped playing after second badge as Freezing became a HUGE bother for me.

I've got Quilava (lvl28), Pidgeotto (lvl28) and Hypno (lvl26). I'm at the Ecruteak Gym.

I also caught and entei, i made the dogs scatter and the first patch of grass i step into i encounter entei.. and then me and my friends started laughing and i threw a fast ball for kicks and giggles. I ended up catching it. it made my day lol.

Nice team for this moment, you should already be able to beat third Gym.
I would change Bellsprout to a Wooper though, you need a Water type.
Furthermore, Bug Pokemon tend to suck, a lot.
But for now, it'll do.

Congratulations, I know from experience catching one of those dogs is a real hassle, praise yourself lucky!
Although I think Entei wasn't that useful, he was not on par with my other Pokemon back in the Silver days.

Mareep is one of the best Pokemons ever IMHO, so keep him till the very end.
Pidgey is good too, and your starter is always good.
Slowpoke, I don't know, I haven't trained him, ever.

Just started my legit German version yesterday, so it is currently

Mareep lv. 6 (freshly caught)
and a few Pokéwalker Pokémon.
On my old Japanese save I had
Dragonair lv. 48
Feraligatr lv. 49
Ho-Oh lv. 49
Ampharos lv. 48
Togetic lv. 49
Gyarados lv. 48
after all Kanto gym battles.
But Togetic will definitely not be in a future party. I am too heavy on Flying as it is already. Before Ho-Oh, I had Noctowl, and before Dratini, I used Weepinbell.

My team is Croconaw, Ampharos, and Victrebell or whatever is before that...got 3 badges I think. Levels are 20+.

This will not be my final team, it will be a competitive NU team I have already composed.

Can anybody recommended a team? I've never played competitive but I plan to.
I need a play through party + a competitive. If you can please include move sets, and what to EV train.

You can go onto Smogon or something for stats of each separate Pokemon. I would try having the generic Pokemon party setup to start off. You can definitely go onto YouTube or somewhere to see what the normal team looks like.

I'm in the 7th gym right now. I train my Pokemon a lot. =/ And half of them are traded, it's fast leveling for them.

Haha at the Entei, i caught a golden geodude when i first started my game and i was PSYCHED, but then the save got corrupted :'( i was so mad, but hey, its a free game, and i LOVE butterfree, as far as bug pokemon i agree their not the greatest, but Scyther/Butterfree ive always seen as exceptions, Butterfree having its psychic attacks makes a good addition.

As far as bellsprout, its only in there cause i caught it early on and i replaced my rattata with it, and ive always wanted to train up a whooper.

At the moment, I've got Bayleef, Growlithe and Flaafy, and I've just beaten Ecruteak Gym.

Probably gonna go back and catch an Abra, fish for a Magikarp at Lake of Rage, and then catch a Dratini to round out my team.

I'm surprised to see so many small teams, i always train up as equally as possible, takes an extra 15-20 mins sometimes to train the lone-dog but it keeps me from "forgetting" about a certain pokemon and all.

The only reason i have a slowpoke (now a slowbro) in my team is because he is simply my favorite pokemon

and my fav was always scyther in red/blue, but i could NEVER catch it, cept by using the missingno cheat/bug/w.e and using a masterball on it
