I have successfully softmodded my Wii with the twilight exploit (on 3.3U firmware). It has the homebrew channel and backup loader but I think my softmod is an outdated version.

I have to go to the homebrew channel and click on WiiGator Loader to play my backups and I need the SD card in my Wii at all times.

Is there a way to not need the SD card in the Wii and have the backup games load directly on the Wii without having to go to the backup loader ion the homebrew channel? I've searched this forum but not sure which instructions to follow so if someone could shed some light that would be great...

Oh and will I (no matter what) need to patch my games to play on the Wii? My friend had a bunch of games from his old WiiKey modded Wii and gave them to me but none worked so I ripped one and patched it, reburned it and now it works.

And final question, are there emulators anywhere I can use to play SNES, Sega, etc on the Wii?
And if there is will I need an SD card to load those onto it or can I burn them onto a DVD and use them?

Please feel free to PM me if you are not allowed to post certain replies, any help is GREATLY appreciated, thanks!

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
