Hacking HELP!!!!!

Ok! i bought an r4i sdhc on Dealextreme.com and i searched around for info for the r4i.
And it says the if i update it it will freeze!?
so is this true?? also does an normal sd card works on it?
and give me info about the r4i sdhc (RED BOX)

r4i is a clone. Not the real thing. Crappy card really.
Normal sd micros work just slow and have lag in games.
if you still have time cancel the order and buy a Itouch if you have a ds lite or a itouch2 if you have a DSi. Hope this helps.
