Is it possible to inject games that require the SuperFX chip, or no? Mainly asking on whether Kirby Super Star and Dreamland 3 will work.

Quick question just so I know I'm not going crazy: Is anyone else's installed SNES .cias missing the sticker on the cartridge in the 3D banner? All of mine are, even the official Super Mario World one. It's bizarre, but could CakesFW have something to do with it?

For whatever reason, when the banner I made spins, the screen quickly flashes to Super Mario World's image then back to the SMAS image. Why is that? Could've sworn there was a thread about something like this but I can't find it.

Getting this as well on my banner for ActRaiser. It doesn't bother me terribly but I'd like to know how to fix it regardless.

...?

The Wii U has Kirby Super Star, which uses the SuperFX chip.

...no. Kirby Super Star does not use the SuperFX chip, where on earth did you get that information from? I swear, half the people here don't have a clue what they're talking about, including you.

Kirby Super Star uses the SA-1 enhancement chip, as does Kirby's Dreamland 3.

Here's a bit of education:

These games have special chips for enhanced features on the SNES. Only the
DSP1 games will run on a copier if a DSP cartridge or adapter is installed.
Game Genie works, but can not be appended to a ROM for game enhancing features.
Some games will run if the original of the same game is plugged into the SNES
copier while running the program from RAM. These are: Megaman X2, Megaman X3,
and Super Bases Loaded 2.

DKC EU 1.1 gives (this game is not designed for your system)

That's because the DKC trilogy contain a region lock. The emulator natively expects a U ROM.

...and why are you using a 50hz version of DKC anyway? Inject the 60hz US version for christsake unless you want slow-ass shitty gameplay.

wow for one fuck you lol not like going from 60-50fps would even matter on a Game like DK, also your from UK the SNES was originally PAL for you so dont come here sounding elitist

2 the Pal 1.1 Version is the most up to date version, it fixes all the bugs found in the US 1.2 version after it fixed and change some stuff.

Also you can bypass the region locout with Hex Patching which Raugos tool i assumed did but apparently doesnt

Oh finally *DKC is known to run the Same speed on 60HZ as it does on 50HZ*

Resulted in using the US version in my made one anyhow, i like having custom Banner sounds etc not that stupid Ping

    But it's a dead end

@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

@BigOnYa, i only have like 1 or 2 mb sec

Did you feed the hamster in your internet router? It prob died and is running slow now.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

Its actua!ly just a old joke, meaning its slow. Was just kidding around with you.

I bet @AncientBoi has some hamsters hidden somewhere tho....

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

    Some temporary storage

also @BigOnYa im making some progress on my gdevelop project, implemented various mechanics

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

@BigOnYa, although the bullets are a bit buggy

Not to mention this would be a massive pain to pirate
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

YEa gotta after a while, looking at code for long periods will bug your eyes.

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
