Ok so your not wanting cash you just want trade I might try eBay and sell it for about $300 to $350 then take the cash and buy a really nice JTAG 360 because that a nice PS3 but I know if you hit 100 posts here on the forums you can access the trading forums and put a post there.

Heck no Jailbroken PS3's go for big bucks at least on eBay there has been one on eBay for a while now thats is custom made that is going for $500 but yeah as long as its working it can go for about that $300 to $350 because there just hard to find I would buy that PS3 from you at that price lol your practically giving it away.

okay just got a update, i was able to look at the back of the 360 myself and i was given the wrong info, the board is a XENON

so what does that mean for me?

Don't do it Xenon are the worst RRoD there the first model made by Microsoft look for either Jasper or Falcon if you outright want an RGH for your xbox I know a couple of people I can talk to see if there interested.

Xenons can be R-JTAGged with the Xenon R-JTAG kit.
Be sure to yank up the fans in FSD to 100% to prevent it from dying quickly.

Xenons are worth a bit more due to them having KV type 1 and type 2
But other then that, their not worth much.
As long as you don't let it overheat.

Edit: No, hacked PS3's aren't worth 300 quid.
MAYBE if you have the right buyer!
But you can pick up any NOR based PS3 (early slims n late Phats) and downgrade them without to much trouble.

i talked to the friend and hes gonna give me a few days, imma see about selling the ps3 on ebay, cuz it looking like this
Gamestop:
Xbox Elite system = $130
120gb HDD = $40
R-JTAG Mod Kit = $65

now if i was to get my friends system i will still have to get the Kit & HDD, so yeah lol..... selling or trading for the right system is best for me

As true as that is I am not a big fan of the E3 Flasher I prefer softmod over anything else and sorry I thought we were talking about US dollars because I've seen some pretty crazy numbers.

Ohh and make sure you or your friend knows how to solder because if your taking that route be very careful you can mess up your 360 pretty easy if your not careful.

Just any sized 2.5 inch HDD (max 2TB) and a caddy.
The HDD size limit is patched in hardware hacked machines ;]

Iirc, you can buy a simple caddy on Tmart..

Yeah elites are pretty good just depends on what type of motherboard you get really.

Pretty much but if you memorize this pic before you buy or keep it on your phone you can look at the console before you buy it and make a good decision

based off that.
I recommend either looking for the Falcon or Jasper.
Ohh and one ore thing Gamestop dosent base there prices off motherboards so if you get xenon it will be the same price as a jasper.

Yep.
That's why one should always ask for the MFG date and the PSU powerrating ;]
Then you know what you're up against.

I had loads of people wanting me to flash their drives/JTAG/RGH their consoles that said to me they got a Pro/Elite console.
Then I asked them what MFR date/PSU rating and they responded with, why should I know: I got a Xbox 360 [insert selling name]

It's annoying when you have to prepare for every Mobo revision/every drive revision.
Especially with the MRA hack back in 2009.
People saying it's an old 360, turns out they had a nearly brand new one with a Liteon 9x in it >_>

What about the xbox 360 motherboard that has the 256MB of flash memory (Jasper I think), would that also be something to look for, or is that not a big deal when modding a 360?
