Gaming Help me with a part of a game

So in M&L:BIS, I got to a part where you roll a ball generated with a pipe. Before that, I've put these balls in worms to open new passages, but this time, instead of a worm, I put it inside of a cannon-like structure. I cannot find anywhere what to do after that - switching the water on/off does nothing, smashing the structure does nothing, the pipe generator of the balls is deactivated...
