Hacking Help Installing wood r4

I have downloaded the latest wood r4 firmware and I have done exactly what the instructions say:

1. Extracted the files
2. Deleted all files from my r4
3. put the _rpg folder and the _DS_MENU onto the sd micro card

however it wont load when I turn on my ds, it just say "loading" and stays there

Can someone give me a n00b step by step instruction on what to do?

Plus, the instructions included WERE nub instructions...to make instructions even more noob friendly would be a click by click on how to get the files and extract them...

BTW the official WoodR4 won't work on clones.
Also, you could try reformatting the mSD to see if that does anything.

hmmmmm ok thanks, after reading around i think that mine maybe a clone

is there any wood r4's that'll work on clones to help me patch the newer games?

You could try using Xenon++'s WAIO.

I have never been able to try it myself (I don't have a clone, so I have no idea if it would work differently), but apparently it works...
