Why does my nintendo ds r4 card freeze on the loading screen when i run a game

I have an r4 sdhc gold pro card. i have formatted it and redownloaded the firmware. once i did that i made a new folder called ROMS for my games i added a couple of games. however when i try and run one of these games it says loading and is stuck. what do i do to fix it?

Time bomb removed kernels are also available, but ROM compatibility is poor.
