Well i did say that i'm done due to granville's return to USN but a Japanese coder named maku has discovered a new flaw in the demo of an unknown game that lead him to a new savedata exploit for the PSP firmware 6.20. Is it fake or legit? You decide.

Doesn't seem to be fake. Who knows, this might be a real exploit! That would be good news, especially since you can just download a demo from PSN for free.

Note that it's japanese. Japanese PSN has different demos than US/EU PSN

Well atleast you don't have to buy a crappy game, all you have to do is download a crappy demo.

Hopefully they'll release the US demo and forget to fix the exploit [IMG]

Well is it in user-mode like all the other save exploits? If it is then it's useless

Yeah, but with a Japanese PSN account you can also download those demos. You'll have to deactivate your other downloads, but it might be only temporary.

The problem with it being a demo is that Sony could fix the demo and anyone who downloads it after that can't utilize the exploit anymore.

It happened with the other exploit.
So it will be likely the demo will be removed until they fix it.

i call this plausible but not entirely confirmed.
until i know every little gesture and detail and trick he did it. i don't call this real or fake.

I think he covered his mac address.

Also I agree with the demo fixing, he shouldn't have uploaded this video until he released the exploit.

A new firmware hack? Nice, just what the developers want to hear.
