https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_delivery_networkWhat the heck is cdn?
Using a CDN downloader bypasses the need for an account (although Nintendo already knows what accounts are associated with which consoles) so at the very least, they have to ban the console. They could ban the account but an account ban is useless on its own and adds insult to injury if layered on top of a console ban.and they can ban accounts? or only the console?
The public console certificate used in that tool was banned from the second server banned consoles primarily use for game and system updates (atum). dauth, on the other hand, is the server you're supposed to use to download eShop content but with a CDN downloader, you can use atum to download eShop content instead, banned or otherwise until this morning. Of course, people can keep supplying banned certificates to use with that tool so long as Nintendo continues banning people.I heard yesterday that the cdn tool was banned.
Not from here as that is considered copyrighted content. But Google is your friend. And where do i get this Certificate?

If the cert is only banned via dauth and not atum, then yes. The way you can tell is either by downloading something from Nintendo's website and selecting Update Download Progress on your Switch or trying to update a game/system online. This is how bans normally work. If the cert is banned from dauth AND atum, then you cannot do anything that connects to Nintendo. This is what is referred to as a "superban". CDNSP works because the CDN can be accessed through atum or dauth (Nintendo's own fault tbh) so their fix was to restrict access to both for rogue certificates.Wait a minute...so you CAN used a banned cert with CDNSP?
Funny you mention this.Wait a minute...so you CAN used a banned cert with CDNSP?

There is a payload called PozzNX that fries parts of your console specific info. If you do not have a NAND backup, the console is dead. So, yes, I would advise to make one.Thx. And one last question ... is it useful to create a backup of the NAND? I saw it can be created with hekate.
