Will I get banned using devmenu? I only plan to install updates and DLC but will never go online.

Even if you don't go online there's still a chance you could get banned for using devmenu but at most it will only be a level 2 ban(E-shop and online gaming ban)

I read that some SX OS users can still play online when they boot to Horizon.


Does ReiNX prevent your from getting banned since it doesn't use the devmenu?

ReiNX is a custom firmware, that's the first thing Nintendo checks for when someone gets online. Right now it's still pretty uncertain what they check for and how bans are going to function, all we know is that accessing their CDN server is almost instant full ban. JUST using devmenu to install stuff, as long as you don't go online, SHOULDN'T get you banned but one never knows

Tinfoil is basically a tittle manager/installer. Like FBI on the switch but more limited right now

Change txt to ini, use layeredfs+sigpatch, also if you updated via rajkostos guide and dont want to burn your fuses/card reader corrupt on older firmwares, edit ini file (look for nogc word, copy it where you want)

The original hosted files did not because they were patched versions of firmwares 4.x and 5.x. However, rajkosto's version (which is linked to in the OP) works on all firmwares.

What if you played with devmenu, but did a fullsysnand restore to a point prior before going online?
