Hacking HeartGold not working on my DSTT

I recently got back into playing DS and i put heart gold onto my DSTT. It creates a sav file, then when it reaches the "loading" part it just freezes.

Is there a fix out, since it has been a couple of years?

Make sure the ROM is not patched and that you are using this firmware.

So i've gotten it to work, but it takes me awhile to get it working. Everytime i turn off my DS and reload the rom it freezes on the start screen. How do i fix this?

Wait i feel like i installed the firmware incorrectly. I only added the TTmenu and TTmenu.DAT into my SDHC card. Is there any other file im missing?

Well, if you want cheats, then you may be missing a cheat file. If not, then move right along because you're not missing anything.

the thing is, my rom freezes either at the title screen or after i press "continue"
