So as title, i havent played on my ds in AAAAGES, and now that i have a 3ds, i want to actually play some games on it.
Basically, what have i missed? any underrated games you can think of that were great?

Puzzle, action, whatever really, just looking for those genuinely fun titles.

Some of my favorite games have to be:
Phoenix wright
Professor Layton
Elite beat agents
Castlevania

and a load more i cant remember

i've tried to have a read through them, but a lot of them i've already played. Any threads specifically for more recent games?

Werent the Sequels: PW: Trials and Tribulations and PW: Justice for All Released in the US and EU?

if so, the "sequel" or in this case "sequels" are indeed NOT japanese only

ONLY IF you meant Giakuten Kenji 2 (6th Game, and is currently only released on the japan, it released February 3 2011, which is another Spin off, sequel to Ace Attorney: Miles Edgeworth)

Golden sun: Dark Dawn ( though if you did'nt play the gba ones maybe not)

Pokemon White/Black( they gave us pokemon that followed us and took it away and frankly it looks a bit blurry to me and the pokemon look like they took a step back in graphics and looks durring battles to me.))

Pokemon heart gold/ Soul Silver ( My most fave pokemon game of them all, and best remake of a game ever!)

Dragon Quest IX (( basicaly one of the best Dragon quests ever on the Ds! it really stands out compaired to the others, you get to customize your characters look, classes its alot like the ps2 dragon quest one as you have the alchemy pot to as well as the best graphics.))

Dragon quest V Hand of the heavenly Bride ( Good and kinda long hehe)

Infinite Space ( A pretty nice space game, you buy ships and edit them to make them better and stuff while traveling through space to ( Insert plot her ) if you like scifi and customizing space ships space battles and stuff its a good one ))

The legend of Zelda Spirit tracks (( A really good game if you liked phaton hour glass and wind waker its a must play the trains a bit weird but it makes sense and becomes cool))

Super Robot Taisen OG Saga endless frontier (( that long @$$ name and you don't get to play as a mech and only get like two androids.. rip off! but its the only one we get so we must treasure it)

Suikoden Tierkreis ( reminds me alot of final fantasy )

There are also other dragon quest games but the ones I listed before are the best ones in my opinion the ohters would be IV and VI Also there is a dragon question monster 2 coming out eventualy hopefully... it'll be a crime against the world if it doesn't... so far it seems alot better than the first dragon quest monster on the Ds.

The zelda on the 3Ds isn't really a remake its basicaly just a port of the one from the 64 which was ported to the game cube, and now seems to be ported once more to the 3Ds?

Still if you never played it back on the 64 or game cube its worth playing as its a very good game.

THIS
It's such a great game. I just beat it yesterday. The below comment (found on Youtube) explains the game better than I could.
QUOTEInception-quality story with amazing puzzle mechanics with a great soundtrack.

I'm also in the same situation as the OP so I'll be getting all these games.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
