Hacking Hackmii installer help

Every time I start up the hackmii installer beta 0.2 to upgrade hbc, dvdx and bootmii from v0.1, I get the scam screen, then the 1 appears, and my wiimote will not turn on. The same thing even happens with the network update via the hbc. Also, I've unplugged all peripherals.

Edit2: Never mind, I realized my problem was that I needed to use a GC controller for some reason

It's not normal having to use a GC controller.
These installers were working very fine with hackmii installer beta 1 or hbc 1.01 update.

I have the same problem and no GC controller, I'm stucked...
