Hi everyone. I'm an spanish Hacker-in-learning, and I want to translate Phoenix Wright 3 into my language. That would involve text, audio and graphic hacking.

For the GBA version you can use the tools from http://comebackcourt.soruceforge.net. I can't help you with the DS version.
Edit: do you realise that the previous games were translated to Spanish, and this one will launch in Europe on October 3rd?

As Shyvnal says deufeufeu did some work on 4 and 2 although I do not recall anything on 3 at this time.

I thought Capcom was not going to release it in Europe because of the PEGI rating of +16? Anyway, I'm trying it for fun. Thanks for the replies, people =)

PW3 will be released on October, 3 in Spain in spanish language. If you want to play before that date, me and a group of translators used the deufeufeu's Phoenix Script Editor for a partial translation of that game, the first case is completely translated to our language.
It's strange speak in english with a spanish too hehehe, well, here I put some captures of my group translation project... now cancelled (they are in spanish, obvious).
If you want play it, give me a private.

I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version -

I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it! -

I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it

I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
