Hacking Guide to installing + uninstalling YSmenu on the R4

Hey bluelaserman, I linked your mini-guide to my guide in the faq section. Even though it's running ysmenu as secondary firmware, at least M&L:BIS works.

Go through the guide and make a YSmenu, put it onto your micro sd card, and try it out?

I did but it doesn't work...
the problem with the r4 ultra is that it's not r4 compatible and is not fully akecard comptaible so it leaves us no choice yet but to ait for a firmware upgrade from r4ultra.com which won't come anytime soon I presume. I just need to know if someone was actually able to run ysmenu on a r4 ultra and how!! every solution I read led me to a ysmenu with a dldi unsupported screen or with a green loading frozen screen... I just don't want to buy another card and then find out after that there was a solution.. Also I'm not sure but maybe that card is still supported by it's team.. maybe!!!

Does the r4 ultra require any extra files or folders? Take a screenshot of the root of your sd card and PM it to me.

nothing seems to work...
I read somewhere that my card is a acekard clone..
maybe if there is a way to run akaio loader 1.5???
Because it doesnt work with akaio1.4

There is no english folder in the YSMenu folder?! oO

To avoid confusion, might I suggest in step 9 to say, "extract the contents to the YSMenu folder".

Are you sure your R4 is real. Whats the box / flashcard say its called?
In your Micro-SD card, does it have files:
_system_ (Folder)
moonshl (Folder)
_DS_MENU (.dat file)
_DS_MENU (.sys file)
_DS_MSHL.NDS (.nds file)

If you have any other files in your card, please state them

Also, make sure you KNOW if your r4 is real or fake. I had one instance where a friend of mine thought he had a clone and followed the steps for clones but his was real.

don't have any moonshell things and no _DS_MENU(.sys file) and the flashcard says R4 Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS)

So theres is no way for ysmenu working on r4 SDHC?

- This one? If not is there any other way for Mario luigi Bowsers inside story to work for me? I have tried ysmenu-i boot up the game- goes to black or white screen. (Color depends on which game i try)
