Gaming GTA 4 PC Help

So i brought GTA 4 the native resolution of my LCD screen is 1400x900 75hz DVI but the game will only let me choose a maximum of 1280x720 60hz and also i can not force anti-aliasing so i have to put up with jaggie textures and the shadows look s**t WTF. Why can i not force 1400x900 @ 75hz with AA active on this game is there a INI/CFG hack? Any help to make this game look better on my PC would be appreciated. Also the Texture quality setting in the display options will only let me select Low why?

GTA4 is a crappy port, nothing else to it. YOur textures can only be set to low (probably) because you have 256MB video ram (or less) I assume. All in all you can run it properly which in itself is magic

You need to drop view distance / detail distance.

Also, it'll ALWAYS look like shit. I have an otherwise equivalent computer power-wise except 512mb of memory, and it runs like molasses no matter what I do.

It's just a downright bad PC port. You want GTA IV, get an XBOX 360.
