Gaming Golden Sun: Dark Dawn Discussion Thread

Hi guys, im new to this whole flashcard thingy so i could use some help.

I have an R4 SDHC Revolution for DS (NDSL/NDS) and underneath the NDSL/NDS thing i have www.r4ultra.com so im assuming its fake.

When i try Golden Sun, it just stops at a black screen, could someone explain why this is happening please? Thanks

The R4 SDHC is indeed a clone of the R4 flash card. The reason why you're having a black screen when running Golden Sun is because of the AP (Anti-Piracy; freezes) that Golden Sun has. The AP is designed to make the backups of Golden Sun unplayable on flash cards. Most, if not all, new DS games do not work on the R4 SDHC. High compatibility for the R4 SDHC is non-existent.

Ahh i see, that explains alot such as COD BO not working.. But how come Beyblades Metal fusion works? I downloaded it just to test and it works fine.

Is there a workaround for the AP? Btw thanks alot for ur reply, much appreciated.

I'm not sure about why Beyblade Metal Fusion works on the R4 SDHC flash card. Maybe it has some poorly-made AP for the game.

It is possible to bypass the AP by patching/cracking the game. There are currently no fixes for this game, but I'm sure there will be a patch/fix for this game in a few days.

So it can't be converted to the standard format? I know I can move saves from my flashcart to a retail cart using one of rudolph's tools

Oh, that's probably it.
I just bought my Acekard yesterday so I'm still not used to it yet.
Only thing I downloaded was AKAIO 1.8.1 from the Acekard site. ^^;

Edit: Ok, that's not it.
I just checked and my loader is already dated Oct 23. :/

I've tried AAP, on and off, most recent loaders, reformatting, pretty much everything, and I always get black screens, so I'm out of ideas >.>
