I can't say that GM9 is superior then B9S, but GM9 gives you a more complex environment and is more for power users and not in any way for newbies.

Edit: if you liked priiloader on the Wii, you will love GM9 in Bootloader Mode.

Yes. What happens is you then have Luma installed as FIRM0/FIRM1. Pretty straightforward.

I think the main advantage to using GodMode9 as FIRM0/FIRM1 is if you want to use things like this that were written with GM9 bootloader features in mind. Otherwise, B9S is the default choice.
