I bought my switch used back then and the seller included his eshop account that had breath of the wild bought and installed, now that was fine all the years but now I want to switch to the nintendo switch lite but I never got the password for this user account, is there any way I can get it with CFW?

Well the account is automatically logged in on my switch, I just need to read the password that's hidden in case it doesn't work trough a token of course, I don't think it's illegal, at the end I bought the switch with the account I just never asked for the password since it worked fine without it

why not ask the dude for the password? i don't think it would be saved in plaintext and be readable even with cfw

This would not be legal. You got lucky that that guy did not factory reset the console.
If you would have bought the console with the account, he would have send you the nnid/password or send you a pw reset request to your email.

Current security and state of the art practices do not allow Nintendo to save user passwords on the console. They save the nnid and/or a token associated with the account.
As long as the lite is not hacked, a way to inject the token is found and Nintendo is checking tokens against the requesting deviceID / model, you are out of luck.

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select

but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
