I'm new to R4 cards and emulating on anything other than a laptop, so this could just be user error and my own stupidity, but anyways. I'll load GBARunner2, and it pulls up a screen where I browse the files. I chose any rom, and both screens go black. Is this a simple fix? Should I use a different GBA emulator, and if so which ones are good?

GBARunner2 is the best tool to run GBA ROMs.
Install TWiLight Menu++, and see if that fixes your issue.

I'm trying to install it, but I'm having some problems.
How do I do step 7 of the installing process?
If I'm putting it on an R4 card, do I leave the R4 kernels?
Am I not understanding something, and I can't do it on an R4 card and instead have to do it on the 3ds SD card?

You have to do it on the 3DS SD card.
Plus, I recommend running the GBA games there, as the sound will be emulated better.

Step 7 says "DSi/3DS users: Run TWLMenu++ on the console's SD card, and turn on SCFG access in Slot-1," but I can't find TWLMenu++ anywhere. Where is it?

Hello.:)

And maybe a Side Note if you still want to use GBARunner as "Standalone" on the Flashcard (without TWiLight):
You maybe should try the different ARM Versions with different Games.:)

Good Luck
Thank you.:)
TWLMenu ++ es la abreviatura de TWiLight Menu ++.
Debes instalarlo en tu consola. [/ QUOTE]
Hola, soy un usuario de Twilight Menu y me gustaría saber por qué las roms Hack de pokemon no se ejecutan en el emulador GBA.

Please, this is an english language forum!
Even if you use Twilightmenu++, gba games use GBARunner2 contained within it, so you have to post in the thread dedicated to that emulator.
See here the compatible games list:
https://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/GBARunner2#DS_Compatibility_List
My advice is to try to remove any added intro with GBATA tool, and see if it works.
Original pokemon games work fine with GBARunner2, except emerald version, which only works with DSI/3DS build; maybe those hacks are based on this version.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii

At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
