GBA boots a GBC game, but there is no cartridge.

Hello.

I found an old GBA and noticing it's rough state decided to see if it still worked. after putting batteries in it started... but with the GBC boot screen. regardless of whats in the cartridge slot.

anyone have a lead? I would love to get it working if I can.

See those cut corners on the back-bottom of a GBA game?
In GB/C games they're filled in, and one of them pushes a flag-shaped switch against the wall of the slot: that one's stuck

Oh I see. Yup after checking the slot I noticed the tab was stuck down. got a tweezers and pulled it up and it works now. thanks much!
